You closed your eyes when you inhaled the smell of a fresh cup of coffee. Every morning you needed this to wake up, because the last few weeks you barely had any sleep. The reason for this was sitting at your kitchen table.

You slapped your hand against your forehead.

"That's alright, love," Tom smiled slightly at your display. It was cute how you always forgot those little things, but he minded not. He had already put some water to boil for himself, knowing you liked your coffee and he liked his tea.
